Charity Funds Stolen
CPO SCC Dean Marshall | July 22, 2009Having spent hours of our time and effort raising money at the New ASDA Store in Rugby on Sunday 12th July 2009, we were distraught when the money raised was stolen. The cadets, adult instructors and helpers had spent the day packing bags at the store to raise funds towards the maintenance of the Sea Cadet Unit and to purchase new equipment. The Rugby Advertiser have filmed the following video with commentary by the Officer in Charge, Sub Lieutenant (SCC) Stuart Glover RNR and Ordinary Cadet Declan McKenna.

Two cadets, Able Cadet Danni Parker and Ordinary Cadet Matthew Moseley of Rugby Sea Cadet Unit, represented Warwickshire Ditrict Sea Cadets at the South West Area Combined Regatta 2009, held today in the Bristol Docks. Having beaten off competition from local units including Coventry, Sutton Coldfield and Tamworth Sea Cadets, the pair competed today against cadets from West Wales District to secure their place at the National Combined Regatta at the end of August, to be held at the
